Instruction for Classes

Complete the Instruction Request Form or contact the library to ask about online instruction. The library can provide a quick orientation or an in-depth research instruction tailored to your class topic. The best time for a library instruction session is after a research assignment has been assigned and students have chosen their topics or have tentative focus statements. Students are more likely to learn about research resources within a discipline at point-of-need.

Course Development

Kanopy: Kanopy is a streaming video service offering documentaries and feature films operating on a lease model. The Library will mediate access to new, unlicensed films through the Kanopy Streaming Services. Use this guide to follow the process.

LinkedIn Learning: You should receive a message from LinkedIn Learning to create an account at your NNMC email address. Get more information about LinkedIn Learning and how to use the resource here.

Library Videos: The Library has a repository of video tutorials that cover using the NNMC Library as well as general research instruction.

Guides: The library developed a number of research guides in a variety of topics to help students narrow down resources according to topic. Course or assignment guides can be created upon request. Email the library with your request and details.

Fair Use: If you have a digitized copy of material that has been on course reserve and you would like to embed it into your online course, contact the library for information on Fair Use.
