Student Learning Assessment

Program-Level Student Learning Outcomes (PSLO) Assessment

Program Assessment

NNMC academic programs regularly undergo review on a seven year schedule with the exception of programs which undergo review by an external accrediting organization. Programs that are not accredited by an external, discipline-specific body are required to complete a review to evaluate the program as a whole. The assessment of student learning is part of that process.

All academic programs are required to develop and implement a program-level outcomes assessment plan, and to document how the plan is used for continuous improvement at the program-level. Every year department chairs submit an annual report to the Provost. Beginning in 2020, chairs will identify assessment plans and report on last year's assessment as part of that report.
