Library Home: Borrow Materials

The Ben Lujan Library extends borrowing privileges to a variety of NNMC patrons and visitors. Please note that in all instances, patrons must have a valid ID in order to check out materials.

Students/Staff

Renewals: Up to 2 times/semester (with no outstanding holds)
Fees: $50/each unreturned book
DVDs/CDs Borrowing Period: 28 days
Renewals: Renewable twice

Faculty

Renewals: May renew through the entire semester
Restrictions: Unlimited number of materials
Fees: $50/each unreturned book

 

Community Visitors

Material Type Details
Books Borrowing Period: 28 days
Renewals: Up to 2 times (with no outstanding holds)
Restrictions: Books can be checked out for 28 days and may be renewed twice (with no outstanding holds). No more than 5 items at a time.
Fees: $10.00 fee/year for borrowing privileges; $50/each unreturned book
DVDs/CDs Borrowing Period: 28 days
Renewals: Renewable twice (with no outstanding holds)
Restrictions: No more than 5 items at a time
Fees: $10.00 fee/year for borrowing privileges

User Identification: NNMC students, faculty, and staff school IDs serve as your library card. Community visitors may register with a picture ID (such as a driver's license) and that ID serves as your library card. Your library privileges are for you alone. All users must present an ID to borrow materials.

 

Fines:

Returning Materials: Materials must be returned to the Ben Lujan Library. Renewals may be made by calling 505-747-2243.

Replacing Library Materials: The fee for each unreturned or damaged item is a total of $50 per item. The patron will have the option to purchase a new copy of a circulatable item in lieu of paying the fees.
