Kanopy

Kanopy is a streaming video service offering documentaries and feature films operating on a lease model. The Library will mediate access to new, unlicensed films through the Kanopy Streaming Services. Use this guide to follow the process.

While the library would like to license or purchase all requested resources, we must work within the constraints of our budget. As such, we have selection criteria to guide what we purchase. Criteria include:

• Materials that enrich and support the curriculum as well as existing collection strengths and weaknesses 
• Affordability relative to available budget current availability in other formats
• Videos will be licensed on a first come, first licensed basis
• We will be limiting requests to videos intended for course development only due to COVID-19 finance restrictions
