Faculty are responsible for providing a quality online learning environment that meets Quality Matters™ (QM) standards. Faculty must demonstrate evidence that they are qualified to teach in an online learning environment.
- Faculty teaching online courses at NNMC must demonstrate evidence that they are qualified to teach in an online environment. For faculty/instructor credentials required to teach distance education courses, you may provide:
- evidence of training in online pedagogy or
- evidence of experience teaching online that conforms to best practice standards (QM).
- Please complete this form, Application for Faculty Credentials to Teach Distance Learning Courses, and submit scanned copies of documents, such as transcripts, certificates, etc., that demonstrate training in online teaching.
- Faculty credentials will be reviewed by the Director of the Center for Distance Education.
- In addition, all faculty are encouraged to engage in continuous professional development opportunities to learn best practice standards for teaching in an online learning environment.
