Faculty Credentials

Faculty are responsible for providing a quality online learning environment that meets Quality Matters™ (QM) standards. Faculty must demonstrate evidence that they are qualified to teach in an online learning environment.


  1. Faculty teaching online courses at NNMC must demonstrate evidence that they are qualified to teach in an online environment. For faculty/instructor credentials required to teach distance education courses, you may provide:
    • evidence of training in online pedagogy or
    • evidence of experience teaching online that conforms to best practice standards (QM).
  2. Please complete this form, Application for Faculty Credentials to Teach Distance Learning Courses, and submit scanned copies of documents, such as transcripts, certificates, etc., that demonstrate training in online teaching. 
  3. Faculty credentials will be reviewed by the Director of the Center for Distance Education. 
  4. In addition, all faculty are encouraged to engage in continuous professional development opportunities to learn best practice standards for teaching in an online learning environment.
